The Bishop

The bishop moves up and down along diagonals. Each side has a light-squared bishop and a dark-squared bishop. They both move along their respective diagonals in any direction as many squares as you want. However, bishops cannot move over other pieces like knights can.

Try it out below! In the applet switch to set up mode and clear the board. Select a bishop from the piece selection menu and place it on the board. Play around with it moving it along all the diagonals.
